At this point, you have to either be exceptional to stand out or play the numbers game.🔢Consider this situation where the response rate is 1% or 0.1%, How many jobs you will apply for to get a dream opportunity?Applying is one scenario, Not knowing where to apply is even a bigger problem. In 2021, JPMC Glasgow rejected me after a call with the Hiring Manager...💯...JP Morgan and Chase is a well known organization that specializes in investment banking and financial services. I applied for their Python Software Engineer Role for Glasgow location back in 2021.💼Getting a chance to interview with such a big name was amazing in itself. They had a different hiring process where the first round was with the hiring manager followed by a single technical interview. Since I was very new to the industry I had the understanding that Hiring manager round is to check cultural fitness and more of a behavioral round.The interview was very normal, started with a greeting. The manager asked me general questions about Python, My experience in previous internships and how the product lifecycle works.👨🏻💻I answered the product lifecycle based on my understanding and experience but he doesn't seem to be happy with the same and was expecting something else. Although, I shared the process that generally being followed in product companies.Not doing proper research about the company, their hiring process and expectations could be the biggest mistake any candidate can do while preparing for companies.🚣🏻Do good research about any company you are giving interviews at, It not only shows that you're serious about the working there but also makes the recruiter/manager's life easy.🔍This is one of the reason I really appreciate youtubers who share content spreading awareness about the same.❤️Hope you find this post useful, Appreciate a like and repost to share it with your network.#kushalvijay #hiring #placements #jobs #rejection #interviewexperience #layoffs #internships #jpmc
