The Batting Cage is a Mini-Game in Persona 5 Royal that allows you to take a swing at earning unique rewards that vary on your performance and the difficulty of the pitching machine. In P5R, there are six difficulties for you to choose from, which increase the speed and complexity of the pitch, making it harder and harder to land a hit, let alone a home run. However, you must first meet a few requirements before you can access the Batting Cage.
Requirements
To unlock the Batting Cage, you will have to clean your room in Café Leblanc for the third time to clear off your shelf. Doing so will net you a copy of the "Yoncha Walker 04" book. Reading this book will give you some Knowledge, but it will also give you fast traveling options to the Batting Cage and Bathhouse.
Batting Cage Information
With the Batting Cage unlocked, you will only be able to partake in the Mini-Game at night. However, if you can manage to hit three home runs, you will be provided a Batting Coupon, allowing you to visit the Batting Cage during the day. Additionally, you will always get +1 Proficiency for using the Batting Cage and will get +2 Proficiency if you land five hits.
If you are struggling to hit home runs in the Batting Cage, you can purchase the "Batting Science" book from the Hinokuniya Bookstore in Shinjuku for ¥2,800. Reading this book will enable you to use your Third Eye ability in the Batting Cage. However, you will not gain access to this bookstore until at least 6/18, when you hang out with Ryuji in Shinjuku.
Using Third Eye in the Batting Cage almost guarantees you a hit and allows you to hit home runs much more frequently and easily. As the pitching machine pitches the baseball, activate Third Eye and position your reticle on the ball. When the baseball turns purple, swing your bat to hit it. Placing the reticle on the bottom half of the ball will be the best method to hit home runs.
Batting Cage Difficulties
When it comes to the different Batting Cage difficulties, they become available to you on certain days, meaning you will not be able to access the harder ones until much later in your playthrough. You can find the speeds, pricing, and date availability of all six Batting Cage Courses below!

Insane | ¥4,000 | 165 km/h 102 mph | 12/1 |
The Fader | ¥8,000 | ??? km/h ??? mph | 1/13 |

Darts is similar to Billiards in Persona 5 Royal because it is an excellent Mini-Game for leveling up your Technical Rank. Furthermore, Darts will also allow you to increase your Baton Pass Rankwith members of your party, allowing you to reach Rank 3 before being capped off. Additionally, you will earn notes towards your Proficiency Statdepending on how well you did (1-3 Points) and will also receive a Confident Point towards everyone's Arcana who tagged along. Like other Mini-Games in the game, you must meet a few requirements before you can begin playing Darts with your pals. You can find that information below!
Requirements
Due to the Darts Mini-Game taking place in Kichijoji, you will not be able to access it until after Madarame confesses. Once that happens, you can head into the Penguin Sniper and begin playing Darts for ¥800 a session. Additionally, purchasing optional items can make things a bit easier for you.
The first item is the Dart Set, which becomes available after you play at least one game of Darts and will be purchasable from the Next Ace store found in the Underground Mall in Shibuya. The Dart Set will make your throwing reticle much narrower and more precise. The second item is the "Learn Pro Darts" book, which becomes available after 7/5 in the Hinokuniya Bookstore in Shinjuku. Reading this book will enable the use of Third Eye when playing Darts, significantly slowing your aiming speed down, allowing for more precise placements.
Darts Information
Darts in Persona 5 Royal follow a few basic rules. You will choose a partner at the beginning of the session, who will then select the game's difficulty based on their Baton Rankor, in some cases, the character themselves. The overall goal of Darts is to reduce your points to zero, with the number of points being dictated by the difficulty. The points go as follows: 301, 502, and 701.
If your Partner's Baton Rank is Rank 1, they will always choose 301. If their Baton Rank is Rank 2, they will select 502. However, if their Baton Rank is Rank 3, they will choose the points randomly, which tosses the mighty 701 number into the mix. However, there are a few caveats. If Sumire Yoshizawa is your Darts partner, she will always pick 301. Additionally, if Goro Akechi is your teammate, he will always select 701.
Furthermore, after your session, you will have the opportunity to play with a random party member from the audience. While the audience is entirely random, you will rarely get Akechi or Morgana as possible members. In addition to that, if you choose Akechi as your starting partner, only Morgana will appear in the audience, making him the only option for the second game.
Teammate Information
When playing Darts with your teammate, youwill often have to give them words of encouragement if the score remaining to reduce is less than 100, and it's their turn to play. Providing them with the correct answer in the heat of the moment will give them the confidence boost they need to seal the deal for your team. Furthermore, every character has their own unique throwing style, which can be incredibly tricky to play along with. You can find all of this information in the table below!
Character | Throwing Style | Accuracy | Response |
---|---|---|---|
Ann Takamaki | Always aims for the bullseye. | Extremely accurate. | "Just play like normal." |
Futaba Sakura | Knows what it takes but fails to stick the landing. | A bit shaky. | "This is real." |
Goro Akechi | Incredibly skilled and can get the job done. | Throws sporadically but accurately. | Doesn't have one. |
Haru Okumura | Just throws for fun but consistently gets High Scores by sheer luck. | Consistently accurate. | "Have fun with it." |
Makoto Niijima | Always goes for high scores. | Extremely accurate. | "Take a deep breath." |
Morgana | Always goes for high scores. | Extremely accurate. | "I'm counting on you." |
Ryuji Sakamoto | Always aims for the bullseye. | Extremely accurate. | "You gotta psych yourself up!" |
Sumire Yoshizawa | Copies your throwing style and pattern but fails at executing it most of the time. | Abysmal accuracy. | "Trust your instincts." |
Yusuke Kitagawa | Has a calm and elegant throw that allows him to be accurate. | Extremely accurate. | "Pretend like you're painting." |

Fishing in Persona 5 Royal is a surprisingly deep and rewarding activity that offers many unique and excellent rewards for you to obtain. There are nine types of fish of varying sizes, each netting you points when caught. You can then spend these points on rewards, with the better ones being worth quite a lot of points. However, before we get into how the point system works and what you can spend them on, let's review how to unlock this activity.
Requirements
To access the Fishing activity in Persona 5 Royal, you will need to unlock the ability to travel to Ichigaya. This can be done in one of two ways. The first method is to purchase and read the "Fishpond Spotter" book from the Taiheido Bookstore in Shibuya, Central Street, for ¥1,800 as early as 7/17. The other method is to agree to hang out with Ryuji on 7/6 when he invites you to Ichigaya.
Once Fishing is made available to you, it will cost ¥3,000 a session during the day but will be reduced to ¥1,000 in the evening. Upon paying, you will receive seven Small Boilies and an additional three Medium Boilies when you complete your first session.
Fishing Points
Depending on the fish you catch and its size, you will be rewarded with points you can exchange for rewards. If you want to know how many points a fish is worth before attempting to catch them, you can read the "Essence of Fishing" book, which becomes available at the Hinokuniya Bookstore in Shinjuku for ¥2,800 after Fishing at least once. Reading this book will allow you to use Third Eye while Fishing, enabling you to see which fish will grant you the most points when caught.
