Penn in the Ivy League Tournament
*Penn is making its 17th appearance in the NCAAs and has missed this event just once since 2007; that came in 2022. (A reminder there was no Championship in 2020, and Ivy League teams were ineligible to compete in the postseason in 2021.)

*Penn is hosting an NCAA game in Philadelphia for the 11th time overall and the first since 2017, when the Quakers were the seventh seed but got knocked off by Navy in the first round in Penn Park, 11-10. Overall, the Quakers are 8-2 when playing as the home team including a 3-1 mark at Franklin Field.

*Penn is 15-16 all-time in NCAA play—the Quakers have a 14-14 mark under current Lois S. Leitner Head Coach of Women's Lacrosse Karin Corbett—and has been a quarterfinalist five times (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016), a semifinalist three times (2007, 2008, 2009), and a finalist once (2008).

*Penn is an 8 seed for the second time in tournament history, the other coming in 2010 when the Quakers opened with a win over BU and then lost at top-seeded Maryland, 15-10. Overall, Penn is a seed for the seventh time in NCAA history.
#2 seed: 2008
#4 seed: 2007, 2009
#7 seed: 2016, 2017
#8 seed: 2009, 2024

The Series with Richmond
*Friday's game will mark the first time the Quakers and Spiders are meeting in women's lacrosse.

*Taking it a step further, the Quakers have played just eight games all-time against the programs that currently constitute the Atlantic 10 and won all of them: four against La Salle (most recently in 2023), three against Saint Joseph's (most recently in 2016), and one against UMass (in 1980).

Penn Women's Lacrosse by the Numbers
2 • Players who have been voted Ivy League Defender of the Year twice since the award started being given in 2013. Both are Quakers: Meg Markham in 2014 and 2015, and Izzy Rohr (unanimously) each of the last two seasons.

2:09 • Time needed for senior Lexi Edmonds to record a hat trick last Sunday in the Ivy Tournament final at Yale; this, after she scored just five goals across the entire regular season.

8 • Goals scored by junior Anna Brandt in Penn's ILT semifinal win against Princeton, a tourney record; she followed up with four in the final, tying for the tournament record with 12.

8 • Assists dished out by junior Erika Chung, a program record, in Penn's 19-13 win over Brown on April 20.

9 • Assists dished out by Chung last weekend at the Ivy League Tournament, a tourney record; she had an ILT-record six in the semifinal win over Princeton and three in the final against Yale.

10 • Senior goalie Kelly Van Hoesen has made 10 saves in two of Penn's last three games, the regular-season finale at Dartmouth on April 27 and the ILT final against Yale last Sunday.

10.9 • Caused turnovers per game by Penn in Ivy play, tops among Ancient Eight teams.

11 • Of Penn's 17 opponents this season, the Quakers have held 11 scoreless for at least 15 minutes of game time.

14 • Draw controls by senior Niki Miles in Penn's ILT semi win over Princeton, a program record; it marked the second time Miles has hit double digits in that category this season—she had 10 vs. Harvard on March 24—and just the sixth time a Penn player has hit double figures since the stat started being kept.

14 • Brandt's streak of multi-goal games, starting with Penn's March 2 Ivy opener against Columbia; the run includes an eight-goal game, a five-goal game, four four-goal games, and four hat tricks.

18 • Goals scored by Penn in its ILT win over Princeton, a program record for the event and most against the Tigers since the programs' first meeting on April 3, 1974 (a 19-4 Penn win).

23 • Brandt has a 23-game goal and point-scoring streak dating back to April 22 of last season at Brown.

25 • Miles had a 25-game multi-point scoring streak that ended April 7 when she was held to a goal at Yale; she has hit for multiple points in every game since then, so call it 31 of the last 32.

37/41 • Miles has scored in 37 straight games dating back to May 1, 2022 against Columbia, and has a point in 41 straight games dating back to April 9, 2022 at Cornell.

97Draw controls this season by Miles, most by a Penn player in a season since Zoe Belodeau had 103 in 2018.

400 • Karin Corbett coached her 400th game at Penn two weeks ago at Dartmouth; she enters the weekend with a 267-135 record as the Quakers' head coach (118-43 in Ivy League play).

Quaker Notemeal
*When the All-Ivy teams were announced a week ago Tuesday, Penn was well-represented. Senior Izzy Rohr was voted Ivy League Defender of the Year for the second straight season and was one of three unanimous first-team All-Ivy selections from Penn along with senior attacker Niki Miles and junior middie Anna Brandt. Senior Aly Feeley also received a first-team nod. Senior defender Sophie Davis was a second-team selection, while junior attacker Erika Chung and senior goalie Kelly Van Hoesen both got honorable mention recognition.

*Brandt, Rohr and Van Hoesenthen earned all-tournament at the Ivy League Tournament, Brandt after she tied ILT records for goals in a game (8) and across a single tournament (12), Van Hoesen after she made 10 saves in the tournament final, and Rohr after she caused six turnovers across the two games.

*Chung reached the 100-point mark recently, becoming the 28th player in program history to hit the milestone and joining teammates Miles and Brandt In that elite club.

*Currently on the program's all-time lists: Miles is fifth in career goals (129), sixth in career points (188), and 10th in career assists (59); Brandt is fourth in career goals (131) and 16th in career points (137); Chung is t-5th in career assists (84).

*Currently on the program's single-season lists: Chung is third in assists (43), Brandt is fifth in goals (53), and Miles is t-8th in goals (48) and points (70).

*The Quakers are led by four captains this season: Miles, Rohr, Maria Themelis, and Morgan Smith.

*Corbett is in her 25th season at the helm and coached her 400th game at Penn on April 27. The coach for 12 of Penn's 14 Ivy titles and a two-time Ivy League Coach of the Year—the honor has only been given since 2015—she has been head coach for 267 of the program's 420 wins.

*As part of her 118-43 Ivy League regular season record at Penn, Corbett is 97-15 (.866) since the 2007 season. That includes 36 straight wins from 2006-11, tied for the longest win streak in league history with Harvard (1987-93).

*Of note, Corbett's 118 Ivy League regular-season wins are tied for second in conference history with Dartmouth's Amy Patton (118 from 1993-2016), behind only Princeton's Chris Sailer (183 from 1987-2022). Additionally, her 12 Ivy League titles are second all-time behind Sailer (16), and her seven outright titles are behind only Harvard's Carole Kleinfelder (9 from 1980-2003).
